  • Why do I love farmers and ranchers?
As an Agricultural Communications and Journalism major, I absolutely LOVE spreading the positive news of agriculture. In high school, I was THE Ag kid. I was extremely involved in both FFA and 4-H, and was a cattle and goat producer. I understand the value of today's farmers and ranchers because I am one. Agriculture is the basis of our economy. Without our farmers and ranchers we would literally be hungry and naked. Today's farmers and ranchers are seriously under appreciated so I love the fact that there is a group not only designed to spread the word of contemporary agriculture but, value the people that make our economy what it is.
