  • Why do I love farmers and ranchers?
I love farmers and ranchers because I am one. My passion to reach and teach others about our food and fiber industry stems from being raised on a small cow/calf operation in Northeast Georgia. Since a young age I have known my heart was in agriculture. In fact, an interview printed in my pre-school year book reads "What do you want to be when you grow up?" -- My response at age 4: "A farmer." This industry is like none other--- you can't survive with out it. I love being a producer (farmer) because it enables me to serve others around me. God has given me a servants heart and I plan to use it -- in agriculture.
