  • Why do I love farmers and ranchers?
Growing up was quite an adventure in my family (as you can tell by the Everywhere, Texas) since my father works for Texas AgriLife Extension. Therefore, I had the opportunity to travel and live all over the state of Texas and experience agriculture on many different levels. From showing animals, watching county agents do their jobs and just living life—agriculture was always front and center. In my later years I began to realize that everything I touched involved agriculture--in the most basic form, farmers. This is why I love farmers—because they are a constant force that allows us to live the lives to which we've become accustomed.
